I walked into my new classroom with my bag of learning Materials and then saw Miss G and I ask her where should I put my bag. She said “be hide you where all the other are”. Then I ran off and found people I know then my last year had started


 It was camp I was really excited to go. Because there was a lot of activities. We weren't aloud to pick where we can sleep, but it was really fun. There was a lake walk and a forest walk that took so  long. Holly G’s dad brought some weared type of skateboard it was soo much fun. We had different activities everyday. My favourite moment at camp was the riverwalk it was so cool.


The production was the best. It was called cinderella and rockerfella. My part was the boys dance, we practiced all the time in lunch time. it was worth it though because we sucked but then we were amazing. I was really Nervous but when I got onto stage I went flat out and ignored being nervous and the butterflies went away.


Athletics day, I had won one gold medal for hurdles and enjoyed athletics day even that I had painful heels


Swimming sports was the best I came second thanks to scott Grady but I was still happy with myself.

Culture day

On Wednesday  is going to be a culture day that my team is running . I have sorted the table spaces for the culture food and all of Grill 2.0 is coming to the special day. We have posters and music ready for lunch on Wednesday. All the teachers have arranged the ipu drum team to come on the culture day. Amber Liam and Tyler and I have made a box for feed back if anything wasn't find. the posters have been put up and we have arranged a time for sports

We are doing this because this year our Target is about culture diversity. So we are show the difference about the way different countries eat and what they do sometimes like dancing and the music. Our group is not the best at collaborating but we are getting better and that is way we are getting better ideas.

Chill out

I woke up to the rain pouring down. So I jumped onto my iPad for hours and then realised it was 11 o'clock and I havet had breakfast. I ran down stairs and my dad had bacon and toast ready for me, then I said thanks dad. I walk back up stair and jump into to my kings bed with my bacon on toast Wacthing Netflix. I finish and then dad called out we are leaving. I yelled out where too. Then dad yell out just jump in the car. Then  I jump into the car then the car started and dad drove off. Then I ask dad where we are going. To my staff place. I say how long is that going to take. Dad says um um 30 min. I say that is going to take so long. No said dad it is going to be fast and just play on your iPad. I say ok. Then we had arrived at our destination and I said that didn't take long, told you so said my dad. After we have arrived back I had to go to my mums house and we played  Cluedo and I won once then it was after 9.00 so I had to go to bed so light out.  

Party Night

To day is going to be a big night I say to myself. I walk out of the bath room and then my step dad says you are looking good. It is time to get into the car so I jumped in, getting ready for my uncles party. We have arrived at my nana's house where the party is being held. I run into the house with my shades on, and my aunty says "You're looking good".  I start looking around for my cousin Caleb and find him in the lounge on his iPad, watching Netflix. He was watching star wars the cartoon version, I  say how about paying roblox. He said yes, so we headed up stairs into one room, Then we dissuaded  what game we should play. It took a long time to pick a game but then we agreed on a game I started to play but then found out that I couldn't play that game because you need a computer. I then go down stairs and see that my other cousin ants. Then I look behind me and see caleb was coming down to. caleb and I run to say what do you want to play I say how about cops and robbers. The girls can be the robbers and we can be the cops and that is what we played for hours. then we ran inside to see the food was ready. Then everyone started to dig in. Then caleb and I ran out side and got some sets we finished then. Then I heard a dig dong and that was caleb's ride. then my dad came and then i had to go but it wasn't all done i went to the fireworks and that was amazing but really really loud. so that was amazing night.

Futsal

To day is my futsal game I cant wait. Last game I had to vs an really good team. They smoked us 22 2 to them of corse. But it was really fun because it is futsal. This game might be my favourite game out of all the sports. I cant wait tall my futsal game.

PNINS

It was morning tea I was playing marbles then I saw every one in my class running over to own classroom is said to my self it must be time to head over to PNINS. I ran of and said to my friend what are we doing. they said it is time to go to PNINS. Then they said take your hat off and go line up. I jump in line and couldn't wait to go to PNINS. Then M R yelled out we are leaving and said just follow me. 

We have arrived at PNINS and I had seen all my old friend from college street normal school (That is my school) Then we heard that PNINS is doing a show for us. So we silently walk into there  auditorium and saw music set up on the stage we took a set and they started to play music. first type of music was rock music. It was awesome and it was music to my ears. Then the jazz team came out and showed there moves and that was amazing. Then the hiphop team came out smashed it. It was so cool. Then the coolest of them all came out and it was the drama team it was so funny. there was one kid who cracked me up and it was a legal muslim. The plane was falling and he was just mediating and everyone was on the ground scared. then someone came unto him and said we had crash and he yelled out don't disderbe me when i am mediating.

Then it was the end we had to leave but it was the best time every i can't wait to go to PNINS.

This week we had to do a poem about our holidays instead of right a big blog post We had to pick out of four poems that we have done I have pick this one. If you know which place I went to write it down in the comments.  

Performs

In two weeks College Street Normal School will be in the Regent Theatre performing Cinderella and Rockerfella.  My part is the boys dance. Room 20 Room 9 and Room 10/11 boys are in the dance too. Our coach is Mr R. He did this last year for the year 6s too, so he has had experience. The  codename of our dance was "Volleyball" to keep it a secret.

The first time we did it we were terrible at it! When we had a look at ourselves, we thought, "What are we doing?" To improve our dance performance, we had to practise at lunch time on Tuesday's. The first time we practised, we had to go over it so many times, but now, after four weeks of practise, we are really good according to Mr R.

For the practice we sometimes go into the hall and perform in front of an audience.  Then we have to sit down and watch the next act.  I like acting in it rather than watching the performances.

This in going to be the first time I have been on stage in my entire life. I am feeling happy, but nervous. I can't want until we go on stage!

My Favourite Thing about Grill 2.0

My favourite thing about Grill is there are more ways of learning than just the traditional way, like Classroom. It is not the classroom we work in, it is a digital app that the teachers make for us. There are all sorts of tasks you have to do over the week.  There is a homework page and a maths page and many more. The first time I started Classroom I would get stuck easily but in a couple of days I got it sorted.

There is a new thing I will talk about in Classroom and it is Fast track.  It is the biggest task to do in Classroom because it is your weekly list of tasks to complete.  You can keep track of what you have done with Fast track and what you have not done. You need to put down the link to the task you have done and highlight it green.

I like being able to choose what I do, when I do it and who I do it with.  It helps me become a flexible and independent learner.  Fast track motivates me to complete my tasks because it is my responsibility to make sure I do everything that I am meant to do.

Finger Spelling Ben

On Monday at 2.30pm we had to show our homework to the teacher. One task was to spell our name with sign language my name would be Ben. It wasn't long tall I found out how to spell my name because it is very short. But some people struggled to find and remember there name. Am I am lucky or not because i have a short name .

Jack's birthday

"It Jack's birthday today yay" I head over to wave rave at 6.45 I get there at 7.00 and it goes to 9.00 so I have a long birthday a head of me I get to wave rave at the Lido I walk into the lido and try find jack then we find him and run in none was there then I but my backpack down then see hyacinthe and run to him and say did you see any other people come then Dom Terado came then Tyler came running in. Then all my mates were here so we slowly run to the changing room and then sprinted out.  We jump into the maze pool and head into the maze and then jack mum said you have to go into the pool that is next to the pool we were in and there is a blow up water slide in the pool that was what I was going to. But then every one said let go into the m  baboons in the babies pool that we decided that we would go in that pool first then the big pool so we had a bubble fight that took about ten mins.

We jump into the big pool and head over to the blow up slide we had a big turn on that about 10 turns on it. It was like an course but on water you fall off or stay and head to the slide I jump off the slide and landed on my back and that hit the water really hard and so that really hurt then I got to jump in the spa that was relaxing for a bit then we had i big fight trying to get a good sit I got a good sit and some people did then we got out it was time to go but that was really fun hope you invite me next .

Back in time

''It school time yay'' I am walking over to our class and see a note at the front of the class and people are yelling at me saying we have go back in time. I run over to the class room and look in side and say to my self  I gone nuts. What I saw was tables in lines blackboard with handwriting on it. This was on Tuesday. The uniform wear cool and all the boys tucked and the teachers dress up so us me. then we had to find our chairs and it went boy girl boy girl but i did't find out to tall they tell us that it was just about the work you have been doing and for a test I think

Golf time

"Yay, it is sports rotations today!" If you don't know what sport rotations are, it means each Tuesday is like having two hours more play time. But you get told what sports you have two do first. We got golf then hockey we head over to golf. It is behind the court on the field. Are teacher for golf it Rhye. He tort me how to hit a ball far. It is my favourite sport so I ignored it. our school is really lucky because sport coaches come around and teach as thing about different sports . 

Golf is my favourite sport because it is not a team game. I play golf a lot too and it is fun trying to hit the target. Because the target is fluffy a tennis ball will stick on. You don't half to hit the target you can just hit as far as you can and that is what I do sometimes. If you are not good at team games you should .

Road trip

What a drive to taupo I am finally here with my cousin and my nana and pop. We stayed in a nice hotel and there was a spa pool in side. The first day we unpack and went to the beach and there was a little tube that brings hot water to the beach. We sat down in it. It is so hot that you could burn you self . 

Next day we went on the luge in rotorua and on the zipline. first we went on the luge. I wanted to go down first because I want to beat my cousin a lot and I try and I did beat my cousin and my pop i was in the lead for the all the time. If you was there i think you would beat me because i went very slow for my first ride we I was here . Coming up the chair left i heard people screaming coming down the zipline after we did all the rides we went on this tree walk it was right right up in the trees it was called the redwood walk . after that we just went home and went on the segway for the first time. it was so cool that i had to go second and again then we had to go next day we went to mini golf i got 1 hole in 1.

The next down we had to back up but I sore it coming then we were ready

Swimming Sports

What a day at swimming sports! We had a range of choices for events, but we could only enter two. I chose 25m Backstroke and 25m Freestyle. We did non-championship races first. I did backstroke in the non-championship races, then you could get into Championship races.

I got into both the freestyle and backstroke championship finals.

My first races was freestyle I was racing Scott and cole they are really good swimmers they train 4 hours a week and so I came fourth. In my other race I was racing Scott and I vs them last year and I won and this year i lost to him but I came second .

I was so happy I could not talk. but then we had a relay race. My house had to go on the donut and we lost that race because it is so hard to go fast on the donuts and I am going to get a silver medal for caking second in my race.

Weetbix Try

Today's the day that we started the Weetbix try. It was a fine day at first. I was going around  the tents and getting prizes and getting breakfast. That is the best thing I was doing for now. 

Then it started to rain then I say to myself thats a bummer. Then we got called up at 9.30am it was my turn first we got lined up in boy and girl line i went in the boy line of course.

We walk off into the pool then we stop so we wait and wait got cooler and cooler then we moved into the tent and wait and wait then my group of people got call up to get in the pool it was very warm so i didn't get cold in the pool. Then had to  swim and swim I made it to the end then i hopped out of the pool then run to where my bike was

I wheeled out my bike tall I found where it said hop on your bike so I hopped on my bike and rode it out to the road then i sure jake be hide me with a road bike i went so had out i got slower and slower tool i got my energy back then i just keep to a pace then i saw the end and hoped of then jump into the run.

This is my weak spot so i just keep up with so other kid and made it close to the finish then got the stitch keep me behind then i made it and got my prizes so i am happy.

Hurricanes coming to my school

   

The Hurricanes came to my school It took 20min so all that time we sang and dances then the music stop they came in we all cheered.we won this from a little girl for for entry as in to the draw and we won so this how we got the Hurricane coming to are school and more fm was the I one who was holding the prize.

The first thing we did was asking questions More FM then the rugby team played a game with the Hurricanes.  It was so cool.

My favourite room in GRi11 2.0

This year in Grill 2.0 we are working on four elements of Haoura. They are social, spiritual, mental and emotional and physical .

There are rooms that show all elements. One is called the Hall of Fame and there is the Hub, the Hang Out and the Hideout. My favourite space is the Hub because it is the biggest room and you have a variety of ways of working in here. I mainly never work in any other space just the hub .

I love the Hub and it the only way I work well in class usually.

GRi11 2.0 at Sixtus Lodge Camp

This week I went to camp for 3 days and 2 night at Sixtus lodge in Apiti

My favourite part was riding a horse. At first I was scared then I had it all covered . There was a course that we hade to ride on.

My next favourite was the  river walk( glow worm). I slipped onto the mud face first then I cleaned it with grass .  Then we tramp for more than 4 hours I thought that we could hop into river but I was wrong.

Sixtus Lodge is an awesome camp.
